The Analytical Reference Materials (ARM) Division of Radian
International LLC is pleased to announce the first offering of
a new category of analytical reference materials -- Endocrine
Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs). These chemicals may cause a
variety of endocrine and reproductive system defects. EDCs are
also suspected of contributing to increased evidences of
cervical, breast, and prostate cancer. A major concern about
EDCs is that they may exhibit their primary effects on the
developing fetus -- the time of exposure being more critical
than the concentration level. In all cases the environmental
levels of interest are extremely low.
Radian developed these reference materials with the goal of providing high quality stable isotype labeled and unlabeled standards, to meet the needs of analytical and research laboratories. Our current offering is derived from EDC lists provided by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Center for Disease Control, and the World Wildlife Foundation.
