Jones Chromatography Inc. announces the release of the new SPE Dry-96TM Well Plate Sample Concentrator. The SPE Dry-96 (patents pending) concentrates samples up to five times faster than other concentration techniques by delivering heated gas, typically nitrogen, from needle assemblies located above and below the 96-well microplate. These assemblies consist of 96 individual stainless steel needles that evenly distribute heated gas into the microplates. Both assemblies are easily removable for quick and simple cleaning. The SPE Dry-96's combination of upper and lower gas heating enhances the evaporation of aqueous solvents and rapidly concentrates biological samples. The plate holder can be adjusted to any height from the upper needle assembly, allowing the needles to come in close proximity to the sample, thereby minimizing drying time. It also enables the user to develop methods utilizing a variety of plate sizes and sample volumes.
